Introduction: DIY Custom Mousepad

DIY Mousepad

Things needed:

►Foam Bag.

►Piece of jeans. (your desired size)

►Chalk , Pencil , Pen.

► Scissor.

►Board.

► Shoe Glue.

► Thread & a big needle.

►Textile paint & a paint brush.

► Ruler

Step 1: MAKING THE SIZE AND SHAPE OF THE MOUSEPAD.

Get your board, a piece of jeans and your foam bag.

Place the piece of jeans on the board and trace its size using a pen/chalk. After you traced the size, get a ruler and make a shape same like the shape of the of the jeans BUT make it a 0.5inch smaller like the one on the collage pic (right side).

Step 2: CUT OFF THE BOARD AND THE FOAM BAG.

Once you’re done with step 1, cut off the -0.5inch rectangle on the board and cut the same size of it on the foam bag.

So, now you have 3 rectangles:

1: -0.5inch rectangular size foam bag

2: -0.5inch rectangular size board.

3: Piece of jeans.

Step 3: MAKING THE MOUSEPAD.

Glue the 3 rectangles together.

(1) The board should be in between the cloth and the foam.

(2) The rough part of the foam shouldn’t be the part to glue on the board. After that, you will notice that there is an excess border of the jeans on each sides. Stitch it.

Step 4: MOUSEPAD DESIGN.

Get the design you want to make on your mousepad.

Use a pencil for the outline, then paint it using textile paint. Let it dry for an hour. You have now your own Custom Mousepad!
