Step 1: Ingredients!
You will need:
- 1 part peanut butter
- 2 parts chicken stock
- about 1/4 of an apple peeled and diced for each part
- 1 TBSP of honey for each part
- a mold
- ice cube molds are great, try to find the silicone molds because they pop out so easily!
- a zip lock bag to put the frozen treats in
- a spoon to mix with
- a measuring cup
Step 2: Measure and Mix!
Pour chicken stock into a measuring cup. For this recipe I used 1/2 cup of chicken stock. Then add your peanut butter and honey. I used 1/4 of peanut butter and 1 TBSP of honey. Mix it up well. If it doesn’t mix easily, you can warm it up in the microwave and mix it again until it’s combined.
Step 3: Adding Some Yummy Apples!
Add your diced apples and mix it up again. I used about 1/4 of an apple.
Step 4: Freeze and Wait...
Pour the mix into your molds and freeze it for a couple of hours until it’s hard.
Step 5: Store Them for Later!
Pop them out of your mold and put them in a zip lock bag and keep it in your freezer.
Step 6: Treat Your Pup!
That’s it! Take one out on a super hot day to help your puppy cool off!
Let me know how your doggy likes it! It was a rainy day so I didn't get a chance to give my dog one yet.
