Baking soda

Eyedrops or contact lens saline solution (see note below)

Shaving cream (get a scent you like!)

Foaming face or body wash - this is optional

I tried to make slime but I just made coloured glue. I think it matters what the buffer is, my saline's buffer is sodium phosphate.

That's why we mention the ingredients Sodium borate or Boric acid, but we hadn't seen a buffered solution that didn't work, so that's good to know. Also, you have to be using PVA glue or it won't turn into slime even with the right saline.

my contact solution says that it contains a antibacterial buffered system will this work?

I've never seen that wording but it should work fine, as long as it's buffered. :)
I tried to make this with four bottles (4 oz each) of glue, and even with four bottles of contact solution, the slime would not thicken! I ended up having to get borax.
Sounds like your contact solution didn't have the right ingredients. We say in each video that you need to see sodium borate or boric acid in the ingredients or the words "buffered solution" somewhere on the bottle. If you don't see any of this, your solution won't work as it doesn't have any borax in it.

If you want can you use a glue stick if it's melted?

Yes you can use a glue stick but make sure you use the whole glue stick.

We've never tried so we don't know. Sorry...

Can we use Kool-Aid instead of food dye?

We have never tried so don't know. If you give it a shot, we'd love to hear how it turns out!

what is the amount of each ingredient

For each 4 oz of glue you will use 1/4 tsp. of baking soda. For the shaving cream, you can add more or less depending on how fluffy you want it. With the saline, it is a "feel" thing, there aren't any measurements. We show you what you are looking for in the video as far as when to stop adding it. Hope that helps!

Do you need bakeing soda? Also do you need foaming face or body wash?

No it works without it.

We heard recently that if you add shaving cream, you can leave out the baking soda, so maybe that's why? When we've tried regular slime without baking soda it would not get firm enough to handle. Thanks for letting us know!
You do need baking soda, but you do not need foaming face or body wash. You will need shaving cream, though.

actually you do not need baking soda I tried it and it works perfectly fine, also laundry detergent does work fine but I recommend just sticking to the original recipe.

this is so helpful that i sold 57 slimes in a container IN A WEEK wow i just cant believee it

That's awesome, thanks for sharing with us! Does anybody complain about the fluffiness being diminished when it gets to them?

I like the website!

Our YouTube page?

Will laundry detergent work?

Sorry for not replying, you probably figured this out by now, but we've never used laundry detergent so can't say if it will work or not.

Great video girls :-) what size is the bottle of glue please?

Thanks! :) I believe it was a 4 oz bottle, but our only real measurement (which is still fine if it's approximate) is the baking soda, which is 1/4 tsp per 4 oz bottle of glue. If you do more or less, though, it won't really matter. Some people just add a few pinches.

and could ear drops with that work

As for foaming soap, it's optional and something we don't always even use, but if you want, just add a few squirts. Ear drops will not work because the active ingredient in saline solution is sodium borate or boric acid, which (I don't believe) will be found in ear drops.

how many pumps of foam soap per bottle of glue do u use?

Can I use borax and water instead of contact solution? Please respond. P.S. I LOVE your vids!!!!!!

Yes, just omit the baking soda and saline. And thanks!
Amazing i will have to try it!!

hi

Hi! :)

We made blue. A bit too much baking soda. We'll keep making new batches with different amounts and portions of each ingredient.

How did we never see this?! Awesome, we love it!! :)

Can you use a contact solution that says "Buffered Excipient" ?

We haven't heard of that, so we don't know. Does it have sodium borate or boric acid listed in the ingredients? If so, it should work. Otherwise, you would have to test a small batch. Just use a teaspoon of glue mixed with a pinch of baking soda and you should be able to tell if the solution will turn it to slime. :)

can u use any slaine contact lense solution if it says disinfecting

You have to look for the ingredients we mention in the video: sodium borate or boric acid. Or look for the words "Buffered Solution/Saline" on the bottle. If you don't see any of those things, it won't work.

Hi, can you please tell me how much i need to use of each ingredient when making the slime. Thank you so much

Hi, sorry for asking but I need your first and last name for whoever made this website because I'm doing a science project and the websites I use they have to go in alphabetic order by the person who made this website. Thanks!!

Sorry, for privacy reasons we don't give out our last name. You would have to use CraftyGirls, which is our channel name. :)

I cant wait to try this!!! I'm super excited!!!

It's our favorite slime! You'll love it!

Are u guys sisters or friend or any type of family member??♀️????❤️❤️❤️

Yes, we are sisters! ❤️❤️❤️
Can we use clear glue in this recipe ?!
Sure! It's just more expensive, so we use white glue whenever clear glue isn't necessary. :)

That stuff looks awesome! I love that you made a big batch of it :)
