*If you don't know what gesso is, it is a paint-like substance used as a primer for many art projects. You can use it to prep fabrics, wood, canvas and all sorts of other materials for painting. When gesso is used on wood and canvases, it is often sanded down before the artist starts to paint.
In this Instructable, I used the gesso I made to cover up some doodles on my binder, so that I could repaint it with a galaxy print!
Step 1: What You Need
2-3 parts water
3 parts cornstarch
3 parts baking soda
A bit of acrylic paint (Optional - will change the color of your gesso, or add white if you want it brighter/better coverage)
You can use this recipe for any amount of gesso you need, just change the measurement for the parts. For example, if you need a ton of gesso, use 1 cup white glue, 2-3 cups water, etc. For a small amount, use teaspoons or tablespoons.
For my binder, I used 2tbsp = 1part and I had the perfect amount of gesso to cover all the spaces I wanted. (sorry if that doesn't make since)
(sorry for the awful picture)
