DIY Guitar Graphics On The Cheap

Make a cheap guitar more exciting with custom graphics.

Step 1 Materials

You'll Need:

Inkjet Printer (using a laser printer will make it look awful)
Hobby Knife
Clear Acrylic Coating (Aerosol)
Self-adhesive labels- any kind will do, as long as there big enough. I just used some I found lying around the house.

good idea, but I have to say the appearance is kind of crappy as far as quality goes... wouldn't it be better to stencil something on using the monochrome method of making the stencil rather than making stickers? I just wouldn't put something like that on my guitar, I would want something that was a little more professional, just because it's a nice guitar and I want nice graphics. But I can see some of these methods being applied in some ways that could do some cool stuff! Nice instrucatable! :)

Sorry guys, just had to do that D: Anyway, if the guitar belongs to you, you could consider creating a stencil from a picture and spraying it on, but it depends what you use on it, and whether you mind the risk of getting little droplets on your guitar. On the plus side, it would be an awful lot more permanent.

y use paint just print a picture with sticker-paper and cut it out and stick on the guitar

depends on the camera what if he has an old camera and it has a long shutter delay and it take 30 seconds like my camera and someone steps on it

Are you familiar with the strength of a bass guitar neck and the effect of the padding as provided by the carpet? I am not a small guy but I could stand on it with both feet and it wouldn't break. I wouldn't of course unless it was a crappy one and even then i would hesitate. My point is that bass necks are very strong. They have to hold much higher tension than guitar necks because of the string girth. There is a metal truss rod running down the inside of the neck in almost every one.

there are truss rods in almost every gutiar it keeps the necks from warping it isnt like the bass guitars ar any better because they all have truss rods AC

Not all ships have sails. Plus, only ships drop depth charges, unless helicopters started doing that as well.

helicopters have been dropping depth charges for quite a while, but sub-hunting seems to be primarily done with hunter-killer subs like the Los Angeles class and the Seawolf class

FYI - A ship is a Vessel over 65 feet in length. Anything less is considered a boat. I just wanted to add to the string....
