Read about a few yrs ago, was afraid to try, but I started saving all my used IF caps. The price of batteries continues to rise, so I thought what the heck. Guess what, the original battery inside the cap says "Duracell DL1/3N". This was so easy to do, took me longer to find the pliers than take apart the cap. I followed the IF cap instructions of waiting before inserting & before taking into the field area. Works just like new & for only a few dollars!!
