The woodworkers drink coasters. Easy to make and cute.

Tools and Materials:

  • Band saw
  • Tape Measure
  • Pencil
  • Glue
  • Some clamps
  • Hand saw or mitre box

Here is a video of the making proccess:

Step 1: Prepare the Wood

For this project I have used some scrap pieces of pine.

Cut 9 strips of wood 60 x 1.3 x 0.3 cm on the band saw. Once you have done that take 2 strips and cut out 15 pieces with 8.0 cm length.

Now take another piece of wood and cut out a few strips 1.3 x 1.3 cm. From those strips cut 12 pieces 3 x 1.3 x 1.3 cm and21 pieces 1.3 x 1.3 x 1.3 cm.

Step 2: Assembly

Glue all the pieces together as shown on the pictures. A basic pattern is shown on the first picture. Lastly use some clamps to apply some pressure on the pieces as long as the glue sets.

Step 3: Finishing

Now cut the Coasters every 11.5cm.

Your coasters are now ready.

Have fun and take care!
