Introduction: DIY Minions in 3 Simple Steps :D

This is 3 step DIY tutorial of walking and dancing minions. It is easy to make with materials available easily at your local electronics shops.

Materials used:
1. 60 RPM DC motor. (You can go for a higher one too that is around 100RPM.)
2. Soldering kit
3. Glue gun
4. Two 9 V batteries for each robot
5. Popsicle sticks
6. A tin (soft-drink tin)
7. Ping-pong balls
8. Some wire connectors

Step 1: Stick Together Battery and Motor

First tape the two 9V batteries with black tape.
Cut the loop on top of DC motor.
Stick one DC motor on each of the batteries.
Bring the two units together keeping one rotating arm on top of the other and stick them.
[NOTE: IT IS EASIER TO STICK THESE SUBUNITS TOGETHER WITH A HOT GLUE GUN]

Step 2: Connect With Wires

Take a small piece of plastic filament and loop it around the two units.
Take another (green) wire and connect the opposite ends of DC motor.
Use wire connectors to connect batteries to DC motors. (Black wire of connector 1 to motor 1 and red wire of connector 2 to motor 2.)
Now take a small switch and connect with the batteries. (Take red wire of connector 1 and black wire of connector 2 and connect them to switch.)

All your connections are done! Hurray! :D

Step 3: Place the Minion Head

Take a tin and cut it into 3/4ths.
Place it on top of the unit we created.
Print a cute little minion face and stick it on the tin.
There you are! A walking minion in 3 simple steps! :D

Step 4: Step 1 for Dancing Minion (The Skeleton)

Make a triangle of the popsicle sticks and stick one stick vertically in the middle.
Stick 3 balls on 3 vertices of the triangle.
Now stick a battery with a DC motor and then stick them on top of the center stick.

Skeleton is done!

Step 5: Step 2 for Dancing Minion (Connections)

Connect the wire connector to the battery.
Take a small green wire and connect on end to motor and other end to switch.
Connect black wire of the connector to the switch.
Connect red wire of the connector to the motor.
Stick a small screw to the tip of the motor.

Connections are done!

Step 6: Step 3 for Dancing Minion (Minion Face)

Take a tin and cut it into 3/4ths.
Place it on top of the unit we created.
Print a cute little minion face and stick it on the tin.

There you are! A walking minion in 3 simple steps! :D
