Step 5: Dismanteling the LCD
Before taking apart the LCD:
-Try the screen and see if it works.
-Don't take the protective film off the LCD. That will be the VERY last step (as it will protect the LCD from scratches).
-Put some tape on top of the protective film and write down some letters (like DVD). This will help you always see what is the top and bottom of the LCD, even without having to turn it on.
A picture is worth a thousand words... so I guess a video is worth even more..... so.... Here is the video of how to take apart and desolder the back light.
I tried to do everything in front of the camera, but some times I forgot, sorry! :)
And here the video of how to desolder the backlight.

That looks exactly like the one I did use.
can i just wire the lcd,the speakers,the fan,and a 12 volt led up together to a 12 volt charger?
sorry for my bad english
How big is it?
Where do you have taken it?
Can you tell me something like your one that I can use?
Thanks!
also I'm running into lcd issues. I've been looking at the 3.5 inch like yours which is a 600x480? and the 4,3 which claims to have a 1440x290 resolution.
the 1440 is awesome but the 290 isn't so hot. what do you think?
The last issue I'm having with this is the wiring. I have very little experience in wiring. I was only planning on doing a basic led/lcd/fan and maybe some speakers. But I'm not sure about how all the wiring would come togeather. And quite frankly I'm afraid to just slap it togeather since the led and driver are almost 50 bucks and the lcd is another 30.
thanks again.
You can't use the triplet as condenser lens, they do a different job. I never try that setting and never really see anybody do it.
600*480 doesn't look to bad. The other one I don't know how the 290 will affect the overall projected image.
The best thing to do if you have no much experience wiring, is to get wall adaptors for everything an join them in one.
Hi there. Can't you find another FFC? Is very unlike that you could use a different LCD with the controller of the dvd player. But I have to say that I've done it once. But it wasn't a photo frame, it was another video device.
If you have the same connectors on the LCDs, give it a try.

thanks
Yo need to connect the two power leads, black and red. and also you need to connect it to any AV source, if you don't connect it to a DVD or something the screen will remain black.
Francisco
