Introduction: DIY No-Sew Bear Inspired by Minion Bob's Bear

About: I'm a 5 year old girl who loves to DIY! My idol is Alton Brown and I want to be just like him! I started my own channel to share my crafts and treats with everyone so I hope you guys like it! I've been really…

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, one of my cats got sick and went away, so we haven't been online much. I'm feeling better now. You can check out some awesome pictures of him on my YouTube channel.

Anyway, let's get going!

Despicable Me and Minions is one of our most favorite movies. The Minions are so cute! I can’t wait to watch Despicable Me 3 when it comes out. I made this No-Sew Bear DIY inspired by Minion Bob’s Teddy Bear from the movie. It’s an easier version with only two parts. You can also make it super easy by combining the ears to the body when you trace out the template. This will take out the step 1-4 and make it a super quick and cute craft. Both ways are easy enough for anyone to make. I made a few and my brother hugs them all at night. It’s so cute!

Step 1: Gather the Materials!

You will need:

  • scissors
  • glue gun
  • 1 tiny piece of pink felt
  • 1 tiny piece black felt
  • brown fuzzy fabric
    • I got half a yard and it made 4 teddy bears
  • 3/4 inch tan colored buttons
  • stuffing

Step 2: Print and Cut!

Download the bear template here and cut it out. You can print out an extra one to keep to the side for reference. You can also pre-cut your black felt nose and pink felt tongue. Put it aside for later.

Step 3: Fold and Trace

Fold your fuzzy brown fabric in half with the fuzzy sides facing in. Place your template cut outs on top and trace it out. Remember to trace the ears twice. Carefully cut out your fabric pieces.

Step 4: Glue and Flip the Ears

Glue the outside edge of the ear with the fuzzy side facing in. Check the template to see where I put the glue lines. Let the glue cool and then flip the ears inside out. Now you have the cute little ears!

Step 5: Add Ears to the Teddy

Open up the main piece of fabric. On the piece with the fuzzy side up, glue the ears along the edge of the head with the ears pointing toward the inside of the bear. You will have to bend and hold the ears along the edge to fit.

Step 6: Glue the Bear Together

Put glue along the edge of the bear, including on top of the ears, be sure to leave a small space to flip the bear later and stuff it. Place the other piece of the bear, with the fuzzy side down, on top of the glue and press it down thoroughly. Check the template for the glue lines. Make sure the piece is full cool and sealed up, then flip the bear inside out. We have a bear! Yay!

Step 7: Stuff and Stuff!

Stuff the bear with the stuffing material. Be careful to not over stuff it. Once it is all stuffed up. Glue the stuffing hole closed and pinch it there until it is cool.

Step 8: Eyes, Mouth, and Tongue!

The last step is to glue on the eyes, nose, and tongue.

Step 9: Snuggle Time!

That’s it! Isn’t he so cute? I'm sure Minion Bob would love it!
