I've made these paper butterfly stickers (with smiley faces) about a year ago, but didn't realize how cute they are until my friends and few others told me!
You can make these for the little ones, use'em as home decor, express how you feel (with the smiley faces). If anyone is sad or hurt, the sad smiley butterfly really helps! they're sooo adorable that you won't feel sad while they're around!
Step 1: Materials Needed
Things you'll need to make the paper butterfly:-
1) Colorful crafting paper,
3) Glue and
4) Double-sided tape,
Step 2: Wings!
I used two different colors for the wings ( upper and lower ). Designing the wings might look attractive. You'll need 6 pieces of papers as shown in the picture attached to this step. A is for the upper wing, B is for the lower wing, C are for the antenna's, D is for tying the both wings together and another small oval shaped paper piece for the body. Fold the A and B paper in half, draw an outline for the wings and cut it.
After you've cut the wings, now start folding them horizontally, as shown in the picture. After folding, squeeze them in the middle and tie with the paper D (use glue).
Step 3: Antenna and completing the butterfly
The fun part is when you draw the smilies! they look so cute :) .. Take the paper C's and twirl them in half. Glue the plain side of the antenna at the back of the butterfly's body (see picture attached to this step).
Now simply glue the smiley faced butterfly body with the wings!
Step 4: Stickers!
Cut a small piece of double-sided tape and attach it with the paper butterfly at the back. Now you can stick these cute butterflies anywhere you want. Kids love it, I can tell... because I've made dozens of these for my little cousins.
I Hope you'll enjoy making!
