About: I love looking at posts and then improvising it to fit my liking . Also, I love painting canvases and looking for inspiration .

Reversible and lightweight , this necklace is made from straws.

Step 1: Materials !

  1. Straws (1 or 2 )
  2. seed beads (colors of your choice)
  3. Acrylic Paints
  4. clear plastic thread
  5. Pens
  6. Ruler
  7. Paint brushes
  8. needle and sewing thread!

Step 2: Creating the Pendant

  1. Cut six 2 inch straw pieces and stick together on a magazine page, using it as a base.
  2. Then, cut diagonally to the center, thus forming a triangle shape .

Step 3: Decorating Your Pendant .

You can be very creative with this step .
Here is an idea of how you can do it :
  1. Start by painting the pendant pink.
  2. Then ,some metallic blue and black at the tips .
  3. Finally, add a bit of purple on the top to give it some depth.

Step 4: Assemble the Necklace!

Use the seed beads and make a necklace.

Important: Make sure the necklace fits nicely on your neck and isn't on the verge of suffocating you .

Step 5: Attaching the Pendant to the Necklace .

  1. String a needle through the pendant . Use tweezers to help you.
  2. Loop the thread over the necklace and through the pendant, securing it .
  3. Tie a knot in the end to make sure it won't come off.
  4. Use Blue permanent marker to camouflage the thread and any touchups required.

Step 6: Making It Reversible.

Paint the back a different color so that you have a 2 in 1 necklace.
Don't color the back with permanent marker like I did because it will stain your clothes .
I hoped you liked the instructable and enjoy making it .
