Introduction: DIY Sparkler Holders
Making sparkler holders for your wedding is a fast and easy way to add a special touch to your wedding. Sparkler holders are the little decorative cards that you put your wedding sparklers into and place on your guests' tables. Sparkler holders are much more attractive than the boxes that the sparklers come in, and they're available in several color choices to fit your color scheme.
Step 1: Find Your Template
The first thing you need to do is select a template from the following website:
Once you've selected a template and have it downloaded, print it out on some card stock paper.
Step 2: Cut Out the Holders
Next, you will need some good quality scissors to cut out the sparkler holders. I urge you to take your time and take extra care when trimming the rounded edges for the best results. If you are doing alot of them, you can usually stck the paper 3 or 4 pages thick and cut them all at once to save time.
Step 3: Cut the Slits
Next, you will need to cut the slits so you can feed your sparklers through the holder card. Using a nice sharp razor, carefully cut along the black slits on the sparkler holder printouts. Again, you can stack the holders several high if you have a really sharp razor, just be sure not to accidentally cut yourself.
Step 4: Put the Sparklers in the Slits
Finally, you just need to slide the sparklers through the slits. Feed them wire end first through the slits one at a time so that you can see the message printed on the sparkler holder in front of the sparklers. I suggest puting between 3 to 6 sparklers in each card at most to prevent the holder from tearing or becoming disfigured, That's it! Just put tem on your reception tables for your guests to enjoy.
