Print Your Own Fabric with Digital Fabrics
Hi DIY divas!
Fabric shopping is probably one of my favorite parts when it comes to sewing. Going into the store and finding the right material will make or break your look. Although the choice can be very overwhelming sometimes you just need something in a different color or print than what is offered.
Just like you can DIY your clothes you can also print your own fabric. The fabric I used is a custom made fabric by Digital Fabrics http://www.digitalfabrics.com.au/. Digital Fabrics is an Australian company that creates custom printed fabrics but soon they will also be launching custom made home decor, sportswear, clothes and much more.
The print on the fabric is a colorful mix intermingled with tulips so I wanted to create a jacket that celebrates the Spring season in style. Enjoy!
What you'll need:
- 2 yards/meter of ponti fabric
- 2 hooks and eyes
- elastic band
- fabric scissors
- sewing machine (I use Brother DS140 http://bit.ly/1WoaqVq)
