Introduction: DIY Steampunk Gun Prop

Do you wanna be awesome?! Then you need an awesome, futuristic, steampunk gun! And here's how to make one!

Step 1: Materials!!!

Now as with any DIY you might not have the same parts and you may have extra parts you wanna use. Your prop doesn't need to be the same or even similar to mine.
I used:
A toy revolver
2 small washers
1 slightly bigger washer
2 long and 2 short bullet casings
A small metal rod
A CO2 cartridge
A broken pen
Masking tape
An Xacto knife
Hot glue
And a saw

Step 2: The Handle

First I cut the barrel off of a toy revolver. Then I hot glued the short and the long barrel casings on each side. Then the washers.

Step 3: Sights

I found a little metal piece that looked like sights and glued it on top of the handle.

Step 4: The Barrel

For the barrel I took the CO2 cartridge and wrapped masking tape around it, covering up the printing.

Step 5: Attaching the Barrel

Then, I put a ring of glue on the cartridge and attached it. I then added glue around it for support.

Step 6: Adding to the Barrel

Then, I glued the end of the pen under the barrel.

Step 7: Details

Then I added the bigger washer and the rod on the top of the gun, like so.

Step 8: Finished!

Now your done! This prop is great for cosplays, costumes, filmmaking, or just looking awesome! Thanks for looking!
