This instructable will tell you how to make a handmade Valentine's Day card. The inside of the card has a message that says "I can't bear to live without you. Happy Valentine's Day!". Also, inside the card is a heart shaped pouch that contains a small gift of your choice. I chose word magnets. The is a wonderfully unique card.

Step 1: Materials

What you will need:

Pink, purple, red, blue, orange, tan, black, and white construction paper. Amount needed: pink: 2, all other colors: 1.
A glue stick or an adhesive roller
Scissors
A small and flat Valentine's Day gift
Letter stickers
A marker

Step 2: Cutting the Paper

The blue piece of paper needs to be cut in half the short way. Cut a small rectangle of pink from one sheet (enough for you to put the letter sticker on to spell out "Happy Valentine's Day"), and the for the other sheet fold it the short way. For the black piece of paper, you will need to cut out the shape of a bear's head and a small circle for the nose. For the tan you will to cut out 2 doorway looking pieces (for the inner ears). Also for the tan you will need to make the part that goes around the bears nose. The orange needs to be cut in a way that gives a unique background pattern to the front of the card. Lastly, you will need 2 small white circles for the eyes and 2 red hearts (small enough to fit in the eyes).

Step 3: Adding the Pieces

Next, use the glue stick or adhesive roller to put the tan & white on the black head piece, the black circle on the larger tan piece, and the red hearts on the white circles just as it is on the photo. Then attach the blue piece to the front of the card (the pink paper), an the unique background pieces to the blue. Now stick the bear on the center of the blue and background pieces. Lastly, put letter stickers on the pink rectangle so that they spell out "Happy Valentine's Day", and place it right below the bear.

Step 4: Making the Inside

Cut a fairly large purple heart out of the purple piece of paper. Then use the glue stick or adhesive roller to make the heart stick to the paper only around the edges of the bottom half of the heart. This way you can insert your gift in the heart. Then write "I can't bear to live without you" and any other personal message you would like to give to your valentine. Now your all ready to give it to your valentine!
