This is a beautiful comilation of fabulous ideas. Just wonderful! Thanks for putting it all together!!!

I remember my wedding 32 years ago. My dress was $45.00, the guys all had navy blazers and grey flannel pants, (so no need to buy new) the bridesmaids wore pretty dresses that were from a girls wedding I sang at previously, along with the silk flowers the girls had used. I plopped down the money I had budgeted for flowers to a friend who was a florist, showed her the dresses, and told her "surprise me!" Wow were they beautiful! The meal was $8.00 per plate. (very expensive back then) We were married at Black Creek Pioneer Village and arrived by horse and buggy at the tiny church on site. Our invitations said "We invite you to share in the joy of our marriage." For RSVP we wrote "regrets only" (no needed to send back cards saying yea or nay, and everyone showed up.) The girl who sang at my wedding was the girl whose wedding I sang at...it was a good day :0) My only regret now is that we chose a formal china pattern. It would have been fun to have guests surprise us with dishes they liked, (not expensive ones either) so that our place settings would all be unique. A pot luck dinner would have been fun too ;0)
