Picture of DIY Wire Wrapped Pendant
I love handmade jewelries, but whenever I tried to make some, they never turned out to be that good. I started searching for easy tutorials and found the wire wrapped bird nest pendant to be one of the easiest. So I tried to modify the wire wrapped bird nest pendant and added a little twist to it. Special thanks to the members of instructables who have posted wire wrapped jewelries so far, they inspired me the most.
The 2 best things about these pendants are that you don't need to be proffessional and you don't need to worry about the finishing touch! Besides it's cheap, easy to make and stylish!

Step 1: Materials needed

To make these pendants you'll need:-

1) Crafting wires
2) Different kinds of beads
3) Small round material (to attach pendant with necklace)
4) Crafting wire pliers.

Step 2: Wired pendant (3 beads)

Take a long piece of wire (more than 1 yard) and thread the beads into the wire. Form a circle and start wrapping the wire around the beads. It's better if you take about 2 yards of wire for wrapping. After you're finished wrapping, take a little more wire and wrap it around the wire nest (from inside out) 3 or 4 times.
After you're done making the pendant attach a small round material to it, to complete the pendant.

Step 3: Wired pendant (4 beads)

For this pendant take 4 different beads (different size and color). Thread the beads into the wire and start wrapping around the beads.  The rest is same as the 3 beaded wire pendant.

Step 4:

This pendant is made in 2 steps. First, thread 4 beads into the wire and thread 1 bead from both sides as shown in the picture. Now, as the wire is divided into two parts, insert 2 or 3 more beads in each side. Similarly thread any one of the last beads from both sides to lock it and start wrapping around the beads. When you're done wrapping around the beads , take a small amount of wire to wrap the wire nest 3 or 4 times from inside out.

I made a bird's nest ring instead of a pendant because I didn't have any extra necklace chains on hand. I made the shank by wrapping a heavier gauge wire around a mandrel four times. I attached the finished bird's nest I made with the ends. I tucked in the ends and then I wrapped the shank with thinner wire. I liked the result in the brown and yellow palette. Will make the pendant when I get the chain!
