HI GUYS, THIS IS MY FIRST RC FOAM BUILD.... ANY MISTAKES PLEASE SUGGEST ME THE REMEDIES. HOPE YOU WILL LIKE THE BUILD.

THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS ARE,

1. FOAM BOARD

2. SERVOS 9 GM (2)

3. ESC 40AMP

4. OUTRUNNER BRUSHLESS MOTOR 1400KV

5. 9 X 4.5 PROPELLER

6. 1300 MAH OR HIGHER LIPO

7. HOT GLUE GUN

8. HOBBY KNIFE OR PRECISION KNIFE

9. DECAL SHEET

Step 1: THE PLAN

THE F22 RAPTOR PLANS ARE TAKEN FROM FLITE TEST .

I HAVE ATTACHED THE FULL SIZE AND TILED PLANS .

Step 2: JOIN THE TILED PLANS

ONCE YOU PRINT THE PLANS , JOIN THE TILED PLANS. I SIMPLY MERGED THE LINES AND JOINED THEM WITH DUCT TAPE. TRY TO BE PRECISE AND MAKE SURE YOU DON'T JOIN THE LINES OVERLAPPING ONE ANOTHER.

Step 3: REPLICATE THE PRINT TO THE FOAM BOARD

CAREFULLY CUT THE PLANS OUT FROM THE SHEET(REMEMBER RED LINES IN PLAN ARE SCORE CUT AND BLACK LINES ARE THROUGH CUT); THERE ARE MANY PREFERRED WAYS OF REPLICATING PLANS ON THE FOAM BOARD, I CHOOSE THE WAY OF STICKING THE PLANS TO THE FOAM BOARD ;DRAW A ROUGH SKETCH OF IT; THEN TAKE MEASUREMENTS AND CORRECT IT; THOUGH ITS A TIME CONSUMING PROCESS, IT SATISFIED ME ;

Step 4: CUT OUT PLANS FROM THE FOAM BOARD

NOW WE ARE JUST STEPS AWAY FROM THE BUILD ; HAVE A HOBBY KNIFE ( PRECISION KNIFE ). START CUTTING OUT THE FOAM BOARD ; BE PRECISE AND CAREFUL ; TO CUT THE FRONT HEAD CURVES, JUST ROUGHLY CUT THE CURES WITH +0.5 OR -0.5 CM TOLERANCE ; AFTER WHICH THE DESIRED CURVE CAN BE OBTAINED BY RUBBING WITH EMERY SHEETS;

Step 5: MOTOR MOUNT

FIRST WE BUILD THE MOTOR MOUNT; AS PER PLANS CUT THE BOARD AND DRILL HOLES ACCORDINGLY; HOT GLUE THE INNER EDGES HEAVILY ;

Step 6: THE HEAD BUILD

IN BUILDING THE HEAD; NOTE THAT THERE ARE 3 SCORE CUT AREAS ; MAKE SURE THE SCORE CUT ALLOWS YOU TO FOLD THE BOARD FLEXIBLY ; IF IT DOESN'T SCORE IT UNTIL YOU GET SUCH ; USE THE TEMPLE TAT IS ALSO PROVIDED AT THE PLAN FOR ASSEMBLING THE HEAD;

Step 7: THE ELEVON

BEFORE U ATTACH THE AILERON TO THE WING; MAKE A 45 DEG. CUT ON THE EDGES AS SHOWN IN IMAGE; PLACE THE AILERON ON IT POSITION AND DUCT TAPE IT ON TOP ; TURN THE MODEL UPSIDE DOWN AND FILL LITTLE HOT GLUE ON THE CUT EDGES (45 DEG.) AND WIPE OF THE HOT GLUE WITH A SHARP FOAM PIECE; HOLD THE AILERON IN POSITION FOR ABOUT 20 SECS AND SETTLE IT.; THIS GIVES A HINGE LIKE FIT; ONCE YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THE FIT DO THE SAME FOR OTHER;

Step 8: ASSEMBLING

NOW PUT THE PARTS TOGETHER ;

FIRST GLUE THE SIDE COVERAGE IN POSITION ;

THEN GLUE THE F22 HEAD;

FINALLY GLUE THE VERTICAL WING USING THE TEMPLATE AT A GIVEN ANGEL AS SHOWN;

NOW THE BASE MODEL IS COMPLETE;

Step 9: ATTACHING THE ELECTRONICS

GLUE THE ELECTRONICS AS PER THE IMAGE ;

CHECK FOR CG AND ALIGN THE BATTERY AS REQUIRED;

CHANNEL MIX THE TRANSMITTER ;

AND THE F22 IS READY FOR ITS FIRST FLIGHT !!!!!!

Step 10: DECALS

DECAL THE MODEL IF U WISH.... I TRIED TO ADD SOME SPICY LOOK TO IT... SO I GOT THE PUNISHER VERSION.....

Step 11: CENTER OF GRAVITY BALANCE

KEEP YOUR FINGERS AT THE CG POINT UNDERNEATH THE WINGS.... IF ITS NOT PERFECTLY BALANCED CHANGE THE BATTERY POSITION UNTIL U ATTAIN THE PERFECT CG .

Step 12: ELEVON MIXING

I USE FLYSKY CT6B .... THIS IS THE LINK FOR ELEVON MIXING.....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0x09V3Bd4M

IN THIS VIDEO FOR MIX 3 USE -100% FOR PERFECT MOVEMENT OF ELEVONS.

Step 13: DONE

NOW WE ARE DONE BUILDING A F22 RAPTOR FOAMIE ... MAIDEN VIDEO UPLOADING SOON.
