Step 1: MATERIALS

What you will need:
1 Altoids tin case with a lid that has no embrossings, or engraved text. It should be flat.
1 Xacto knife
1 coat hanger
1 pair of needle nose pliers
1 pair of regular flat head pliers
sand paper ranging from 100 grit to 2000 grit( for maximum style and performance)

is the coat hanger safe? the one i found at my house has gold coating, idk about yours. i juts want to know if the fire would make that stuff get in the food. it sounds outlandish, but seriously great idea ! i love it! im making one

I actually sand everything off before making the product. so there is no gold coating on it.

I made a simpler grill my hangers had the coating too so i sanded them

This is cool i made one of these although with out the top, it's just the wire and the bottom i was gonna put the top on the grill upside down and make pancakes tomorow morning but we don't have any charcol i guess ill just have to wait. good instructable

On a technicality, What do you use when you're camping to make fire and cook, Wood, Find some sticks or something and light it up dude. That's Why I'm making it, Get hungry at a buddy's house and he don't want to cook, Light it up with a small steak or a hotdog or something.

Some metals can be dangerous to burn, and I'm fairly sure Altoids tins are zinc coated which is produces toxic fumes when burnt. However, I'm not 100% sure about this.

I just looked that up and couldn't find anything on Altoids tins being coated with zinc, but you never really know

But they know that we will think what they want so did they really try to make us think it or is it our own minds on a trail they made. I'm gonna think that burning metal makes you turn into Jesus so they can't want me to think that.

Not all metal coat hangers have a plastic coating.

most do even the ones that arnt white but look metal have a thin pvc coating on them (but those usually have a brassy brown colour on them)
