Introduction: DIY Dibbler

This is my first instructable.Photos not so great sorry.
It is a simple DIY dibbler for lettuce.
I made it from scrap woods, and it took me less than an hour.
The main difference, from the dibblers that i have seen for sale,is that i used 2 thin woods in the side, for helping me keep straight lines and parralel lines.
It works better if the soil is moist.

Step 1: Materials/Tools

What you need:
1 - A piece of plank in the size you want, mine was 50cm x 15 cm,scap from an old bed
2 - 2 piece of wood for the side. They must be bigger than the main plank in length
3 - A round piece of wood, old wooden broomstick works perfect
4- A handle(metal,plastic or make a wooden one)
5- Woodglue or screws
6- A saw
7- Protective coat(bio)

Step 2: Cutting

Now you have to cut the pieces.
The side pieces of wood must be a little bigger than tha main plank.2-5 cms in each side is ok i think.
I cut the round wood in 6 cm each, but maybe a little bigger would be better i think.
Now you have to make the holes in the plank to fit the round pieces.
I made 3,the two 8 cms from the side, and the middle 16 cm from the other two.
If u can't find any metal or plastic handle like me,you have to make a wooden handle too.
Mine was from and 2,5x2,5 cm scrap wood.

Step 3: Assembling

Now you have to assemble the dibbler.
I used woodglue to fit the round pieces and a stapler gun for the side pieces.
For the handle i used screws for more secure.

Step 4: Finishing

Now u have to aplly the protective coat.
I used a protective gel, that is safe for food.
