I made a DIY iPod speaker out of the original iPod. I didn't want to make a full instructable because I had already posted pictures and instructions at my site.

No it's not. The first ever ipod's screen display was in black and white.

Yes it is. This model iPod was the first model released by Apple, and it has a black and white screen.
