Using a small piece of mirrored glass (first surface is much better) the image of the sun flips and creates a gigantic image of the sun. This is the pinhole effect. This exact setup images just like a pinhole camera but due to a reflective surface verses a hole, the interior cannot be dark so the ambient light overpowers everything except the image of the sun.
