Step 5: Finish Side One.

Carefully align the two sides with the crossed straps fitting inside side one. Make sure that the two sides are 3" (the depth of the sides) apart. You may want to pin the straps into position before sewing the open end of side one. Be sure to sew through the straps so they're secure.

i love these things! I've made a slew of them ...but instead ...i use elastic ...that way your wallet can keep expanding ...i also put a slit on either side for cards.
awesome. i think the straps should be cut to at least 5", to make sure they're sewn in snugly.
Thanks for this great instructable. All my friends want one.
I love these things, I made them all the time in Cub Scouts!
i give you an A and a + because this is plain awesome

dude this is awsome
Cool. very cool. i love your instructables. they are very well put together. ~Twisted
Simple and nice. :)
just to clarify: In step 5, side 1 is on the right side. In step 6 side one is on the left side. Hope this deconfuzes some people. I looked at it for 15 mins before realizing it :P
Thanks imonsel. I didn't realize I'd flipped it and should have identified the sides.
i am confused with pictures 2,3 and 4 for step 7, how does the wallet magically grab the money when all you do is close, and open it the same way, do you mean you open it from behind, and the 2 wide straps slip around the wad of cash, as the cross grabs it?
