i bought a 70th Anniversary Edition Daisy Red Ryder recently and thought that it would be a good project to add a laser dot sight onto it.

id been looking forward to getting the gun and had had the idea for the laser planned out in my head, and i had all the components ready, so when i got it, i put it all together and this is the final product.

i would have made this as a step by step but its all put together and zeroed in, but if anyone needs me to explain further then i can do a better break down.

the components are:-
a 9v square battery connection, and the battery
a metre or two of insulated wire
a laser (i got mine from a cheap laser guided spirit level, i just ripped it out and got down to the actual laser, its much more powerful than a standard laser pointer so its still very bright and a small point even at long distances, good for the job)
a simple button
and some black electrical type (mostly to make it look abit better in the end)

ive put the laser at the front below the end of the barrel, then i ran the wires along the barrel in the gap between that and the smaller tube below, then theres a small hole between the barrel and the tube just infront of the front hand grip, which i passed the wire through, and then just found a place to put the button so it was easy to use and still comfortable to hold. other than that i just had to find a place too put the battery without having to drill out any of the stock, but i may do that in the future to make it look abit tidier.

then i used the black tape to hold everything into place, and keep it looking abit better, so that wires arnt hanging out everywhere.
this is my first mod of this kind, and its hard to explain like this, so if anyone does need any help, then feel free to ask me, just leave a comment.

also, if anyne else knows of any cool things to do with a red ryder, or even any more mods then please link them too me, or just comment them to me, ive seen some pretty cool pictures of people who have put telecopic scopes and stuff on them (and i know that they arnt that accurate that the scope is going to be much use, but you would be surprised at how accurate i have found mine to be) so please let me know, im just looking for new ideas.
thanks very much.
