Introduction: Dark Chocolate Fudge W/ Via Instant Coffee

This is my First Tutorial yayyyy! Alright so I use to work for starbucks and I had a regular who use to make via fudge for us employees when I was spending my vacation with my sister we decided we wanted to bake a bunch of stuff so thats when I decided to give this fudge a shot. It's simple easy and fast, it's a nice quick treat for all those holiday parties coming up or just cause :) It's also very rich and tastey so enjoy!

Step 1: Materials

Okay so step one gather your materials! What you are going to need for this recipe is:
-Two bags of dark chocolate chips (Ghirardelli chocolate the best but here I used Kroger brand it was cheaper)
-A can of condensed milk (14 oz)
-a three pack of Via instant Italian roast (make sure it italian)
-vanilla extract (optional)
-ground coffee beans (optional)
-whole coffee beans (optional)
-pot, oven safe bowl, and a spoon
-Pam (not pictured) and a cake pan

Note: this is going to be extremely rich and for those of you who don't like dark chocolate or strong coffee you can always substitute the dark chocolate with milk and the italian roast via with colombia via

Step 2: Let's Get Started!

Ok so now that you have your materials out we can get started! First set your burner on medium heat and place your pot on the burner (it's probably best to put some water in the pot when I used a pot with no water it damaged it a little) and then set your bowl on in the pot and let the pot warm up a little.

Step 3: Pour and Stir

When your bowl is warm go ahead and add your ingredients pour in your bags or chocolate chips and condensed milk DO NOT ADD THE VIA OR VANILLA YET (we will add those two once the mix is nice and smooth and melted together). Aaaaaannd now we wait! If your impatient like me you can turn up the heat to high so the process goes a little faster.

Note: If your mixture is hard to mix you can always add a little milk or water to soften it up and help with the melting process.

Step 4: Butter It Up!

While you wait for the chocolate to melt go ahead and prep your pan by spraying it with pam (or whatever spray you have) this way the fudge will not stick to the pan after it has hardened.

Step 5: Caffiene That Sucker!

Alright now your chocolate has melted it is time to add the via coffee! I would start with one pack at a time, add your first one and mix it in really well then give it a small taste to see if you want to add more or like it the way it is, I recomenned using all three but I am also a coffee fiend and the stronger the coffee taste is the better I find it to be! Make sure to stir the via and get it all nice and mixed.

Step 6: Almost Done

Alright once your fudge is all nice and mixed go ahead and poor it into the cake pan you oiled up. Once you smoothed it all out you can either leave it the way is and stick it in the fridge to firm up or you can add a little more oomph to it what I did is sprinkled some ground coffee on top and then pushed some espresso beans into it to give it that crunch factor. Once you have doctored up the fudge stick the pan in the fridge and either let it sit over night or for a good chunk of time.

Step 7: The Final Step!

Voila you now have delicious fudge! Cut that sucker up and serve it :)

And that is the end I hoped you enjoyed!
