Dave's Hobo Fishing Kit

video Dave's Hobo Fishing Kit

This is the 3rd version of this pocket fishing kit I've produced, there have been a few changes, mainly to the contents, as I've found other tackle might be useful (like the leader and small spinners)

the only major tweaks have been the addition of the lanyard- the 1st time I used the kit down in Cardigan bay last September I nearly lost the whole thing when a small Dab too my bait! the second major addition was the lighter line (6lbs) I'm not going to be after any deep sea monsters with this, as I can only cast it maybe 50 feet

the new set up is very much more geared towards smaller fishing in the small rivers around my Island, but I have included some larger hooks in case I do get the chance to drop a line off a pier or jetty.

the new set up is pretty self explanatory from the picture. I have now opted for only one type of line, some 10lb mono, whilst having two different strengths of line on the MK3 was nice, it proved difficult to cast, I've also included some 3.5g dropshot weights in addition to the mixed split shot just to give me a heavier weight to be able to cast further.

As you can see, it works wonders! so get out there and make your own :)
