Introduction: Dead Man's Toes

About: Hello there, so...this is me and I do me thing :-) I am a creative person I would like to believe. I paint pictures for around my house. I write books and scripts (not ones to be published just for leisure). …

Make salt dough Dead Man's Toes for Halloween for your Witch's Potion

You will need:
Salt
Flour
Water
Watercolours
spoon
PVA Glue

Step 1: Making Salt Dough

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup salt
1 cup cold water

Add all these ingredients together and then mix. Once everything has been mixed the dough should be, well doughy.

Step 2: Making the Toe Shape

Break a piece of the dough off the size you want to make your toe. Dust the surface you'll be working on with flour so the dough doesn't stick. Now shape it into a toe shape. It should be fatter at the top and thinner at the bottom. Use the picture as a reference.

Step 3: Detail and Microwave

1. Now using the handle end of the spoon create indents where the joint would be.
2. Once you have done that use the same technique to make the toe nail.
3. Now place in the microwave for 20 seconds and check them and repeat this until they are hard on the outside but still feel squidgy.

Step 4: Colouring and Glossing

Now using the watercolours paint the toe the colour you want. Give it a base colour first and you can then add blue and purples to add as bruising. You can finish if you like with a dust of soot of soil to make it look dirty. You could also add some red colouring to the end of the toe where it would have been cut. Once your dead man's toe is dry use some PVA Glue to paint the toenail to give the toenail a glossy look.

Step 5: You're Done!

Now you have your Dead Man's Toe, just add it to your Witch's Potion :)
