Introduction: Deer Hunting Guide

Deer hunting can be quite the challenge. You have to be patient, quite, and maybe even have good luck.
Before you read on if you aren't really sure if u like hunting stop reading now and Google this topic, this is to set you up for awhile.

Step 1: Preparing Your Rifle

At this point you probably know you need a weapon to shoot the deer with. If you don't already have one I would recommend the Browning .270 Winchester. Paired with a scope of you choice.
This will cost you from anywhere to $950-$4000.

Step 2: Preparing Your Bow

If you are a beginner I would just hire an expert to sight in your bow.

Step 3: Getting Permission

If you don't have any land to hunt on it will be hard to harvest a deer.
1. Ask a family member if you could spend some time in the woods hunting, and tell them you will abide by the rules that you are given.
2. Ask a friend about his property, and use the procedures listed above.
3. Hunting on a public reserve is great until you find that someone is hunting less than 100 yards from you. Public reserves can get crowded, but they are pretty cheap to get on. Laws vary in different states.
4. If you have some money laying around use it to buy you some good old hunting land. Can get very pricey though.

Step 4: Buying a Stand

For rifle hunting you can use a box stand or a ground blind:

Step 5: Ammunition

Depending on the rifle you have is the type of bullet you need. In my opinion Hornady ammunition is the best brand.

It looks cute! I am a hunter too and now I want to get a new scope for my new rifle. I want to buy an ATN scope from http://www.atncorp.com/smart-hd-weapon-sight. I think it would be great to hunt for deer with it!
