Introduction: Delete Older Messages When a New Message Arrives in Microsoft Outlook 2010

In Microsoft Outlook 2010, when you are using “Ignore” option, then the messages are automatically moved on the Deleted items folder and new message comes in your Mailbox.

Note: Ignore Feature are not able to move messages while you have chosen POP3 account or connected with Exchange server.

To overcome this issue: How to delete older messages when a new Message arrives, firstly Enable the ignore status of Mail by follow the given below steps:

Step 1: Open Outlook 2010 and Select Deleted Items Folder

Step 2: Select the Messages Which You Want to Ignore by Outlook

Step 3: On the Home Tab Click Ignore.

Note: You can tell that a message is being ignored by clicking on Ignore option. If the ignore option is highlighted, as shown in the following image, the conversation thread on that message is currently being ignore by Microsoft Outlook.

Step 4:

If the ignore option is prompted then click on Stop Ignoring Conversation.
