Step 5: Making the Stix

Take dough strips and spoon apple mixture leaving a 1/4 inch border then crimp the edges and lay them into the tray make sure to spray trays with canola oil to keep stix from sticking. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Let stixs bake for about twenty minutes or until golden brown. Let the stix cool completely and remove muffin wraps. Arrange sticks however you want depending on what you need them for. The road, party, or just because. For a gourmet look garnish sticks with powdered sugar and then apple slices.
Hi! I'm not very good at cooking but I love to try any recipes I like. I've tried make an apple pie some time ago not so succesfull. And I'm glad I found your recipe! Thanks a bunch.
I tried making this but i messed up on the dough, it became to runny and unusable. i figured out it was unusable after my mom came down stairs and yelled at me for 5 miuntes. i ended up mixing the runny dough and cinamin apples together and baked them in cupkake molds. they turned out alright but i also baked up some extra apples and put them on top. if any one else messes up as bad as i did i sugest adding some sugar to the mix to make the dough sweeter. Thanks for the recipe!
looks yummy
Is there any good dipping sauces that you've tried?
What about caramel sauce?
we havent tried anything other than eating them with softened ice cream or whipped cream
i buy these all the time from the grocery store! they're one of my favorite breakfast snacks, thanks for sharing, i give it a 5
oh really where do you get them
ha ha! mom got em for me, here's what it looks like!
Looks like the same thing only with slits and pie filling. And given being sold at starbucks...probably a HUGE price difference :P..lol.
yeah, that one was from another place tho...
Aw, I see....never been to Starbucks, so I assumed, from what you said, that the one pictured was from there...my bad :P Would still be nice to try this out sometime....whenever I HAVE the time 0_O...lol
starbucks sometimes has them, my mom's work (she works at BMC0, H.E.B. (if you live in the u.s.), and you can probably get them at a local bakery (obviously) and one more thing... the ones i get look way nicer, and they're moist, and have some "design" to them. (i'm not saying anything bad about yours, i'm just want to say how great they are if you can find them)
you go to star bucks???
Starbucks is... heaven.
yah, that's what i said (starbucks is a coffee shop)
yes but starbucks it is the devil
well then the devil makes damn good ice coffee...
and you call your self an anarchist
and you call your self a bad fart...
it was my screen name for gaming
i see...
oops...
it's BMC, not BMC0, i meant to make a )
Can I use a different kind of apples? and store bought crust? I'm lazy.
It may not taste as good with store bought crust but you definitely can.
I think I want to make a strawberry pie like this. So easy to eat.
You've got my vote! Looks great for a road trip........or any time!
This is such a good idea -- great Instructable!
NICE! I soooo want to eat this!
you dont have to use the liquor but it enhances the flavor of the apple you wont taste it once the alcohol bakes out.
when i looked at the muffin tine picture i sorta glanced across it and saw the word ' ANTIMONY ' ....
OH ( i always forget what i want to say =P) do i have to use liquor in it, or is it optional?
I cant wait to make my own :)) im a crust hog
Yummy, can we come over and taste them ? Great recipe.
