    Does it rise at all? Or are they just pretty dense?

    It should not rise, must be dense. Maybe you mixed it for too long?

    No, mine did not rise like pancakes i'm used to. I guess I made them correctly. I prefer them a bit fluffier so next time I am going to add some baking powder to give it a lift. Nice flavor though!
