Here are some progress pics from my Hunter build. Made from Eva Foam. Will answer any questions
Step 1: Choose Design
Find image of the gun you would like to make. Print and cut out the design to create a stencil. Place stencil onto eva foam and draw around it.
Step 2: Cut Foam5
Cut out the the design on your foam. Do this in sections to make it easier eg:
trigger, gun barrel, ammunition, stock.
Step 3: Adding Gadgets
I took a bike light and dismantled it so that the battery and leds were removed from the housing.
I then cut out a space from the eva foam gun and hid the battery part of the light inside.
Then i placed the button of the bike light by the trigger of the gun and hot glued this on, making sure the wires are still intact.
Now i placed the leds in the scope part of the gun facing towards the back of the gun. I created a ammo counter out of clear plastic and black plastic so that the light would only illuminate the numbers.
Step 4: Shoulder Pads
Cut out 2 circles using a food bowl. Thrim the edges to neaten them up and then heat the foam with a heat gun.
Then i placed the foam onto the bowl and used my fist to press into the bowl shape the foam. (use gloves to protect hands from heat) ;)
Step 5: Neaten Up
I then shaped the domed circles by trimming the edges at and angle and then used a dremell tool to smooth out the edges.
Step 6: Detail
Now i used a craft knife to cut details into the shoulder pads and then heated the pads whuch allows the cuts to open, giving it a great effect.
I then added strapping made out of thin eva foam and screwed 4 of them to the shoulder pads on each side.
Step 7: Shoulder Armour to Attatch to Pads
I drew out the shoulder armour design and drew on the detail to be dremelled out.
Step 8: Dremell
I smoothed around the edge of the armour piece and then began to cut into the armour to create depth and detail.
Step 9: Combining the RIGHT Shoulder Pad to the Armour Plate.
I heated and curved the shoulder armour slightly to allow it to sit nicely against the shoulder pad. I then added more strapping on the underside and screwed to both pieces of foam to create a hinge effect.
