Introduction: Dinner With Dessert

Crock pots are great but I hate it when everything you cook tastes the same. So I am going to show you how to cook different items and they each taste great. And you even get dessert. The secret is you need aluminum foil and your crock pot. Everything you see here was cooked in one pot. (except the cool whip. it was added at the end)

Step 1: Ingredients

I am starting with potatoes, chicken, green beans and apples. But you can use most vegetables and meat. It is great with hamburger, pork chops or chicken. Try whatever vegetables you like. Here is the recipe for the one I cooked tonight. This is enough for 4 people.

12 small red potatoes

2 chicken breasts

1 large can of green beans

4 apples

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tablespoon sugar

1 tsp fajita seasoning

1 tablespoon of chicken paste

cool whip

Crock pot and aluminum foil.

Step 2: Preparing Ingredients

Take a piece of aluminum foil and put the chicken breasts on the foil. I cut each breast in half. Cover with fajita seasoning. Now fold up the aluminum foil sealing the chicken so all juices will stay with the chicken. Mix cinnamon and sugar. Peel and core the apples. Slice the apples and place on a piece of aluminum foil. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the apples. Now roll up the aluminum foil around the apples.

Step 3: Finish Preparing

Add the can of beans with juice in the crock pot. Stir in chicken paste. Cut any large potatoes in half and add the potatoes to the green beans in crock pot. Now add the aluminum foil packets to the top of the beans and potatoes. Cover and cook for 5 hours on high or 8 hours on low.

Step 4: Now Serve

Open up the aluminum foil and serve. Now you have a great dinner with apples for dessert. You can even add a little cool whip to the apples. I hope you enjoy and will try this method with vegetables you like.

Thanks for the comment. My family loved this. It is also healthy since there was no frying or oil needed.
