About four or five years ago I bought a Steelcase chair from a warehouse with the intention of stenciling my studio's logo on it. I created the design in Photoshop, scaled it to the size I wanted it to be on the chair, and printed out sections on several pieces of paper. I cut out the stencil and used regular black spray paint to apply the design to the chair, in stages.
The chair is a good quality chair, with a fuzzy kind of nylon upholstering, The paint took really well, and five years later it still looks great.
