As a doctor who fan you may want (need) tom bakers scarf, i certainly did. I was looking online and didn't want to pay for it. I found it cheaper to buy the supplies and so it myself and it's a bit of an accomplishment. Enjoy

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

For this project you are going to need
-a set of size 6 knitting needles
-your yarn
-pattern
-and lots of time and patience

For this scarf I just looked at pictures of Tom Baker and eyeballed what colors I should get and got them at Walmart. I like all the colors I chose except the green. I should have gotten a darker green. The colors I chose are
-charcoal
-gold
-warm brown
-carrot
-dark orchid or plum
-light brown
-green
I chose to do the season 14 scarf because It requires less yarn but a good source for which yarn and pattern you should choose is

Step 2: Getting Started

Throughout the scarf there is only one stitch, the knit stitch. It is very easy to learn. There are very helpful videos on YouTube that shows you how. To start the scarf you need to cast on 50 stitches. If you don't know what that means no worries, it is also fairly simple to do. Once again YouTube is a good source to learn how.
Once you're ready find a comfy spot and get to it. This isn't going to be quick it takes time and effort but it's worth it. I

Step 3: Adding Tassels

You don't have to add tassels at the end you can do the beginning after a couple lines. Each tassel is made up one foot long pieces of yarn of each color. There are 7 tassels.
To add a tassel I am using a piece of wire but crochet hooks or anything else you can find may work.

After inserting your tool fold your yarn in half and make a loop, take the loop of your yarn and insert it into the loop of the tool. After doing so pull the tool out of the scarf with the loop. After that is done you can take the other side of the yarn put it through the loop and full. Now you have 1 tassel

Step 4: Tying Up Loose Ends

While switching colors you get all these ends poking out, don't worry about it until the end and you can tie them up. Get a sewing and needle and your going to sew the end back into the scarf where it's not even noticeable. There are good tutorials on how to on YouTube.
