450 gr flour
60 gr cocoa powder
Pinch of Salt
300 gr icing suger
2.5 ml vanilla
1 Tblespoon hot water -if necessary
Step 2: Cream
Cream the fat and sugar, and gradually add the beaten eggs.
Step 3: Knead
Sieve the flour and cocoa with a pinch of salt and blend the mixture together with a wooden spoon.Knead lightly in the bowl.
Step 4: Set oven
Now Set oven to 180°C ,350°F,gas Mark 4 before you go on to the next step,so that the oven will be ready.
Step 5: Roll Measure & cut
Place the biscuit dough between two sheets of grease proof paper to avoid marking with flour and roll out to about 3mm/1/8 inches thickness.Accurately mark rectangles with a ruler, measuring 3cm X 7cm - 1 1/4 X 2 3/4 inches.
Cut out and lift on to greased baking tray. Roll out the dough again as necessary.Make an even number of biscuits, there should be about 48 pieces.Mark a line across the centre with a skewer.Make holes in half the biscuits to represent the Dominoe numbers and don't forget to have a double six to start the game. When making the holes twist the skewer round so that they become big enough for the butter icing to come through.Leave the biscuits on the tray for about 20 minutes to relax, now bake for about 10 -20 minutes.
Step 6: Cool
Baked Biscuits -They are happy to Cool on a wire rack
Step 7: Icing
Soften the butter and beat the sieved icing sugar in to it,so that it becomes much lighter..Beat in the essence.
1 Tablespoon of hot water can be added if the icing is too stiff.
