Introduction: Download Windows 7 Ultimate Beta Trial for Free

About: I am into all things relating to computers, electronics, USB Hacks, Linux (Ubuntu, Backtrack 4 Final Release). I still believe that Windows 95 is still the most secure Operating System around.

Hello and thank-you for having the time to read this instructable. After reading this, please feel free to leave any comments. If you have any questions about anything to do with computers, please private message me.

Ok, let me now cut to the chase. Here we have a trial based version of Windows 7 Ultimate Beta. The trial that you download will expire on August 1st due to Microsoft. I will list some warnings that you should pay attention to very well.

1). Do not install this trial on your Main, Home or Work Computer. Put it on an older one.
2). Remember, this is only a trial. It will still contain glitches.
3). To continue using your PC, please be prepared to reinstall a prior version of Windows or a subsequent release of Windows 7 before the expiry date.

Note: I do not take any responsibility if your PC may crash. Although, i will help you to get back going again. I'm also here for Tech Support.

Step 1: Follow the Link

http://www.microsoft.com/australia/windows/windows-7/beta-download.aspx

Here I have posted the www. link to the page where it tells you all of the system requirements for the trial/demo. OK. After reaching the main page from this link, scroll down nearly to the bottom of the page and select either: 32-bit or 64-bit. Select the language, then press go.

Step 2: Vertification of Sign-in

OK. When the next screen comes up, it will ask you to please sign in using: MSN Hotmail, MSN Messenger, or Passport account. Enter your e-mail address and password to continue to the next screen.

Step 3: The Crucial Part

Now we get to the crucial part of the whole download. OK. The top section contains your Product Key. Print the page, wirte it down, copy it into a document. Just keep it safe until during the installation. Then it says a bunch of junk that you really don't need to read. Now, there are 2 icons. One says: Download Now, and the other says: Installation Instructions. Click download now for the process to begin.

Step 4: ActiveX Control

The next screen at the top will say: Please wait while the download begins! That dosen't really do much. OK. The next sentence below it states that you need to download ActiveX Control. Now wait until the page is fully loaded, then a bar at the top of the screen will appear. Left click on it and click: Install/Run ActiveX Control. After you click that, you will be directed to the same screen.

Step 5: Allow and Save

If your using Windows Vista, 2 boxes will appear asking you to either allow of decline. Basically, click allow on both boxes and then another box should appear. It will say: Save As. Click Desktop and then save. A little icon will save on your desktop. Don't worry about that, for now. The download box will start-up, then minimize it to your Taskbar.

Step 6: Starting Up the Download Again

OK. Say you want to turn off your computer, but your worried that it might stop the download, and you'll have to start all over again. Well don't be worried at all. remember the icon that you saved onto your desktop, well double click on that icon and it will open up the web. The first one that opens up, don't even care about it. In a few seconds, another web browser should start-up, and that's the one that will start-up the download from where it was closed. Once the download box appears, close the 2 web browsers, and let the download continue.

Step 7: Burn the Programme to a Disk

Once the whole file finishes downloading, it should appear on your desktop as a .iso file. Now you'll need a 4.7GB disk/DVD Disk, to burn it to. Once you've finished burning it to he disk, insert it into your other pc. Now to boot the programme, I use the porgramme called: Daemon Tools. It will launch the iso off the disk. Install it, and use it while you can.
