Part 1 shows the preparation of the stripboard, position of the jumpers and the complete build-up of the electronic components in the order of soldering.

The parts list is as follows:
Stripboard (veroboard) 21 holes x 5 rows
Coloured wire for the jumpers
IC1 TLC551 low voltage 555 timer chip
IC socket 8 pin
PNP transistor 2907
NPN transistor 2222
680pF ceramic capacitor
0,1uF ceramic capacitor (104)
100uF/10V capacitor x2
1/4W 10K resistor
1/4W 300K resistor
on/off switch
AAA battery holder
8ohm 1/5W mini speaker
Copper foil tape
Drawing pin (thumbtack)
Male and ring terminal connectors
Cable ties x2
Insulating tape
AAA battery
2B pencil

Uhm... Why do many instructables assume the reading audience already know what IT is ?
Like Drawdio/Throwie/Yappamajing/Ludicrisotonorama or whatever.
Why not write WHAT a Drawdio IS?

Very cool video, thank you! I don't suppose you'd be willing to show the artwork for the board, would you? Or at least a schematic? The component layout is only half the matter.

Also, I'm not sure where the copper tape is supposed to run off of this thing.

Perhaps I missed a link somewhere?

Hi. Great job on the animation. I just wanted to know if I can use a lm555 instead of the 551 and just increase the voltage? Or are any other changes needed?

Hi Jakobberry, The reason for the 551 is simply to keep this project as small as possible using a AAA battery as the power source. You can use a 555 without any other changes but of course you must use a different power source.

I use Cinema 4d for all my 3d modeling and animation. It is the easiest to learn and the most intuitive. Take a look at the Cinema website and download a demo, then go to my 3d blog and download lots of models for free, then simply play with Cinema 4d. Have fun

Yes, the 680pF capacitor is the 189 in the animation. I will eventually put a PDF on my 3d4me blog which will have a complete schematic and parts list, then everything will be clear.

i got to tell ya, this is the first time i have commented on anything here, you put a lot of work into this, and it shows.... i need to get back into doing stuff like this... you did a great job, i need to get into this.... i need a solar powered led project.... just 2 lights to light the stairs, got any ideas?

Take a look on my diy family blog there you will find a cheap, simple LED night light which looks really great. I know it's not solar powered but you can have them up and running in 20 minutes.
