Quick & Easy Manual for the HobbyKing 'Shock Absorbing 2 Axis Brushless Gimbal Kit for Action Cam'. Part 1: Parts and Build. The principles of the build can apply to a range of 2-axis gimbal kits.

Why bother...? After an unfortunate crash and the bending and snapping of (difficult to source) components on the excellent RCTimer 3-axis gimbal a quick and cheap solution to use the surviving parts was required... At ~US$18 the Hobbyking: 'Shock Absorbing 2 Axis Brushless Gimbal Kit for Action Cam' was worth a try....

Here's the video menu: 00.15 - The parts cannibalised from the damaged gimbal; 00.46 - The Hobbyking gimbal kit - what do you get? 01.22 - Tools and other parts required; 01.36 - Building the gimbal, attaching motors etc.; 02.36 - Fitting the gimbal controller and IMU sensor; 03.06 - Attempting to add a 3rd motor for Yaw (Fail!).
