Regarding this instructible method...(I like it btw as it looks easier than the Duck Tape site)... Like packing tape body casting, There should be a way to wrap the first layer sticky side up and even using a glue stick to keep the inverted duct tape temporarily in place, once the first layer is completed, then it would just be layering the sticky side down on the 2nd layer and peel the final off the hat etc... someone mentioned tin foil, if you went the route of tin foil that might work well too, then just cover the tin foil on the inside of the hat with a layer of tape... hmmmmmm
