Introduction: Duct Tape Wallet

First of all, I am aware how many instructables there are pertaining to duct tape wallets ( a lot). This design is my own, I think that it is simple, effective and makes the wallet durable. I have used the same one for years now and it has held up well. One of the reasons I like the duct tape wallet is because you can really make it your own and personalize it however you want. Different colors, stickers and other things are all great ways to customize. Enough of this, lets get to the build.

Step 1: Materials

Duct tape can be found at nearly every hardware store. Different colors like red and green can be found at most craft stores like A.C. Moore.

Scissors are helpful, but not completely necessary.

Step 2: Strips

1)First off, tear off long strips of duct tape from the roll and cut them to a decent length

2) Tear off another strip of the same length and overlap them about 1/8th of an inch forming a big strip

3) Repeat steps 1 & 2

4) Place one of the big strips on top of the other. There should be no sticky side left showing.
Tip: Watch for air bubbles

5) Trim off sticky edges

You need to to create two of these big strips.

Step 3: Attach

Now that you have formed the sides of the wallet we just need to attach them.

I suggest taping them on the inside first, it is much easier to do that first and then attach on the outside.

As the picture shows, tape the inside first by attaching half the piece of tape to the top half, holding with your finger and then folding the bottom up to attach it.

To attach the bottoms together, simply tape on both sides.

Note: It is important to tape on inside and outside so that money or cards will not stick to wallet.

Step 4: Customize

Make the wallet yours with use of colorful tapes and stickers. You can write on it or draw. Do something to make it interesting and fun.
