A dummy grenade is a prop or just for decoration. Real dummy grenades are used in the military to practice.

What's the spoon for?
Jun 18, 2009. 1:07 PMPapa Sprinkles says:
Oh okay, but how does it stop it from going off in your hand?
Dec 26, 2010. 4:10 PMBlacksmith Spader says:
by holding the spoon down it prevents the catalyst component in the head of the grenade from mixing with the active compound inside the body which initiates the 5-8 second delay for the chemicals to interact. Therefore as long as you long down the spoon, you can put the pin back in the grenade without it going off. However, if you release the handle it begins to "cook" and the time before either your launch of explosive or your imminent doom.

You can buy a replica or dummy for less then $10 at most places. You can even buy an airsoft friendly rubber nade for 5 bucks This might be a good idea if you put a sonics grenade or something inside.

I think a good way you should make a grenade is by using a firecracker and a plastic grenade bb holder. if you cut the bb holder in half so the grenade will work like those easter egg grenades but instead its a grenade shape just put the fuse were the pin would go then make one of those pull tab things for grenades people make :)
Aug 27, 2009. 12:10 AMknex_mepalm says:
how about this, a container with some explosives and bbs, you strike the match when you pull of the pin and it slowly ights the explosive and you throw it sending a shower of bss

not powerful compounds but enough to propel paint packets like 30 feet
Apr 26, 2009. 6:42 AMshot789 says:
You should make it so when you pull the pin the handle comes off and put a hole in the container and you have a bb holder.
