how do you use it it does not even explode all it has is a ring on a container can you at least explain how you use it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A dummy grenade is a prop or just for decoration. Real dummy grenades are used in the military to practice.

What's the spoon for?
footer0 (author) in reply to kaynegabeJun 17, 2009. 7:14 PM
Its not a real spoon. On a live grenade it is essentially a safety, it keeps it from going off in your hand ( hopefully). It called a spoon because of it querky shape.
kaynegabe in reply to footer0Jun 18, 2009. 1:07 PM
Oh okay, but how does it stop it from going off in your hand?
Blacksmith Spader in reply to kaynegabeDec 26, 2010. 4:10 PM
by holding the spoon down it prevents the catalyst component in the head of the grenade from mixing with the active compound inside the body which initiates the 5-8 second delay for the chemicals to interact. Therefore as long as you long down the spoon, you can put the pin back in the grenade without it going off. However, if you release the handle it begins to "cook" and the time before either your launch of explosive or your imminent doom.
knex_mepalm in reply to kaynegabeAug 27, 2009. 12:08 AM
to explain that, it means it stop it going off as long as you are holding it
footer0 (author) in reply to kaynegabeJun 22, 2009. 7:16 PM
It keeps the primer from being struck.

John_234 says: Mar 2, 2009. 10:59 PM
You can buy a replica or dummy for less then $10 at most places. You can even buy an airsoft friendly rubber nade for 5 bucks This might be a good idea if you put a sonics grenade or something inside.

Airsoft_Maniac_96 says: May 9, 2009. 3:21 PM
I think a good way you should make a grenade is by using a firecracker and a plastic grenade bb holder. if you cut the bb holder in half so the grenade will work like those easter egg grenades but instead its a grenade shape just put the fuse were the pin would go then make one of those pull tab things for grenades people make :)
knex_mepalm in reply to Airsoft_Maniac_96Aug 27, 2009. 12:10 AM
how about this, a container with some explosives and bbs, you strike the match when you pull of the pin and it slowly ights the explosive and you throw it sending a shower of bss

ethanbkr in reply to footer0Jul 7, 2009. 12:32 PM
not powerful compounds but enough to propel paint packets like 30 feet
footer0 (author) in reply to ethanbkrJul 7, 2009. 5:33 PM
They make paintball airsoft BBs which work fine.
shot789 says: Apr 26, 2009. 6:42 AM
You should make it so when you pull the pin the handle comes off and put a hole in the container and you have a bb holder.
spencer42 says: Apr 14, 2009. 5:18 PM
That is just the case.
jmanjman says: Mar 11, 2009. 1:13 PM
