Mechanical Pencil Shooter

There are many pencil/pen shooters on instrucables, but this one is even simpler and just a good.
This is something I made during an unexciting class, and it sure added a lot more excitement.
I'm sure I'm not the first one to make this, because it is such a simple design.

Step 1 Materials

All you need to make your shooter is a normal BIC mechanical pencil and a rubber band (preferably small, but a regular one will work too).

How.. do you shoot it? I don't get that part. Wouldn't the black tube fly out with everything else?

Once you realease the black part, the end of it (eraser holder) is bigger than the clear tube and it stops the motion, therefore transfering the momentum to the q-tip causing it to fly outward.

nah, don't take it down. Instructables is all about people sharing what they've made, and how they done it. You've given clear instructions with relevant pictures. This website would be boring if it only had one How-To for every possible project, and it's not as if there is a limited space. The more the merrier.
