Step 1: Get da Stuff'

You will need these things.
1.Dry Ice. I heard stories that you can get it at your ice cream store, food market, and other countless places. I got mine of the internet. This is the website I used, http://dryicedelivered.safeshopper.com/index.htm?18.
2. A large tub. You will need a large tub. At least big as your sink
3. Oven mits. You need to hold the dry ice.
4. Water. This is the hardest thing to find on our list!
Images will come later today.

does enyone know how to make dry ice

You can buy a dry ice machine for about $99. But I would advise against it. You can just go to your local Walmart and ask for dry ice.

Fill a -109°F freezer with CO2.
farhanians in reply to benthekahnJul 17, 2008. 4:05 AM
hmm theres an dry ice making machine sold. but it only runs off the co2 gas tank without any refregeration.
benthekahn in reply to farhaniansJul 17, 2008. 11:53 AM
I haven't seen those. Link? My dad had a dry ice freezer for a few weeks. It was about four feet long, six feet wide, and four feet tall. The actual area to put the ice in was only about a square foot.

You can do the vapor thing in your mouth. Look at my instructable and see. Please rate and comment!
thorpozon says: Aug 9, 2008. 6:48 AM
hello, about producing vapor, try ultrasonic devices found in indoor ponds. they are cheap and safe. some come in at $50 per piece. just plug it in and a little water. instant fog.

I see dry ice in a tub at meijers
Tiller says: May 12, 2007. 6:26 PM
Whoops, You compress and chill CO2 until it is liquid, then you reduce the pressure (quickly) and voila! you are left with CO2 snow which is then compressed into blocks or pellets. At any rate we are still talking high pressure and not something the average user should do. Besides it's cheap to buy!!
xplode in reply to TillerMar 18, 2008. 12:45 PM
Because we all have to tools to do that. Good idea though! I might see if i can't find a compresser.
X_D_3_M_1 in reply to TillerNov 3, 2007. 2:33 PM
hmm, taking energy from c02, just like i guessed.. but waht with the pressure, i thought u just take all energy away from co2

I personally use an old iron with water+glycerine sprayed on the element :P Then blow it through a cooler of ice so it hugs the ground... cheaper + no danger of getting knocked out from breathing too much CO2....
sparks in reply to trebuchet03Sep 11, 2006. 12:39 PM
want lipoid pneumonia? there are water based fog fluids available. exepensive, but safer. with dry ice, CO2 toxicity is pretty difficult to achieve. also you can burn of your genital warts with the dry ice.

I have gotten Dry Ice from Randalls before. Ask in the meat/Deli Section for some. Price Ranges from 5-7 dollars per cube. (each cube is about the size of 4 bricks). Krogers has sold me some too.

55 gallon drum, + a couple heating elements +some fans adjust temprature for desired effect. Worked great, completly silent, completly mysterious.
