Appleâ„¢ has some nice products but is overpriced and they lock you into their service.

My Mp3=$85 and holds 2,470 songs
I hope you see the difference

Nice instructable this, good and simple. This instructable -- easily modified to fit almost any other jukebox, thanks to K'nex's simple and "easy to imagine" design makes building something childs play and takes the "melt your brain" science out of many constructions. I don't hate Apple.. But I agree with you, I don't like Apple's portable jukebox's -- any of them. A large number of my friends (if not all) have/had them (they are immensely popular!), but I don't like not being able to modify/dissasemble them easily -- they aren't what I like to call "modular". (I sometimes empty out the fluff and crap from inside the casings of my players -- Tons of it too!) My iRiver (owned/manufactured by HP) on the other hand -- it's got T8 Torx screws all over it -- coupled with the fantastic sound quality, SRS WOW, large disk, excellent quality battery, USB2.0 external hard disk access (for any filetype) and onboard database refresh (a little slow, but it's probably only got a 24Mhz ARM processor for access/database -- so it's forgiveable.) I am not biased, or "plugging" the iRiver, I just believe it offers many more options -- in my example it does!

i got a $15AUD 1gb ipod. They had another one with no headphones, or anything for the same price. Was was even better was that they didn't check the size, so it was labeled 512 mb and priced such when it was actually 1gb. This is a brilliant idea.

*Gasp* I can't believe you said that. Most people who haven't ever owned one just say that because they are jealous of those who have them. Aaaah... I'm still in shock.

This is pretty cool but I think the only other ipod you could fit on it would be a nano. I have a video and its probably too heavy.

I still think that it would be a bit heavy. But I guess that its worth trying.

No, i think it could actually hold a video if you had strong enough suction cups.
Cool! You should add some padding where it holds the iPod so it won't get scratched up. But there's always cases. Sandisk Sansa e series!
