This unit was built using found timber and bottles from a big weekend party! You can use any found timber, and adapt the dimensions to suit the wood you are working with.

20 x wine bottles. All the same brand/height/shape preferable. Wash them thoroughly in hot soapy water.
10 x turnbuckles / hook and eye strainers as they are sometimes called. I used the smallest I could find, which are 20mm OD at the buckle and 6mm OD at the threads. Such as these from Screwfix.
10 x screw hooks (4mm diameter ones are best, such as these from Techni-cable).
10 x eye bolts, 6mm diameter, 150mm length. You will also require 20 x M6 hex nuts and 20 x M6 washers to go with these (in total), they often come with a nut and washer attached.
Depending on the height of your bottles, you may need 10 x ess hooks too to help the strainer reach between the upper and lower hooks (such as these at Warehouse Direct, although they're cheaper in a regular hardware shop).
6 x planks of wood, 300 - 400mm wide by up to 1200mm long.
If you wish to add or remove shelves, add or subtract the following quantities per shelf:
4 x bottles, 2 x turnbuckles, 2 eyebolts, 2 screw hooks, 1 plank.
