Materials:

Wire cutter
25' Pink EL Wire kit
Skateboard
Black flat spray paint
Painters tape
X-Acto Knife
E-6000 glue
Heating gun
Screwdriver
Wrench

Step 1: Strip the Vinyl Decal

Unscrew the 2 trucks that are underneath the deck. When this is done, score the sections on the image which is on the bottom of the deck. By cutting sections of the image, this will make the vinyl decal easier to rip off. Then place the heating gun at the edge of the deck. Take the point of the X-Acto knife and lift the image off the deck. You will continue to do so until the entire board is complete and you are left with a blank surface.

Step 2: Spray Paint Deck

Once you finish stripping the vinyl decal, line the deck with painters tape. Then spray paint the deck flat black and it should dry within 15 minutes. Make sure you have newspaper or cardboard box to cover the ground before proceeding.

Step 3: Applying the EL Wire

Use the E-6000 glue and line the edge of the deck with the el wire on top. Make sure the wire is applied in a neat manner, and that it is  aligned on the board. For every inch, place a strip of painter tape to keep the el wire in place while the glue sets.

Step 4: Create and Apply Your Logo

Once spray paint settles and the glue is dry, put your logo or art design on the bottom of the deck.

Step 5: Reinstall Trucks

When you are finished with your logo, reinstall the trucks to the skateboard.

Step 6: Enjoy!

Have fun with your new, awesome skateboard! Take it out for a night time skate-sesh!

Will the batteries fall off while riding?
Imma try this soon. Will it fall off or tear from using the board?
Omg! This seems waaaay too awesome to be real! Great job! I'll definitely be trying this!!!!
Thank you! Have fun :)
Sweet dude. I could imagine my friends and I riding on our boards like this at night. thanks for the code too.
I love skateboarding and this is very cool. But can you grind and revert without breaking the lights?
I wouldn't recommend doing too many tricks with the EL wire attached. It wouldn't affect the wire, however it may cause damage to the inverter. This design was inspired more for night time cruising, such as using longboard.
... or scraping off the battery box?
