Step 6Epoxy Bodycap

Epoxy Bodycap
Now the Nikon body cap fit perfectly for me. It exactly fit in the wide end of the tube with a little bit of pressure, and there was even a lip on the body cap that allowed it to sit perfectly flat in the opening.

I just mixed up some more epoxy and put around the tube and pressed the body cap in - then wiped up the excess I could. I used too much epoxy and made a bit more of a mess... :)

You should let it fully cure before mounting it on the camera with the lens. Even though the assembly is pretty light, you will have a weight (the lens) at the end of a long extension, which will exert quite a bit of pressure on the epoxy joints, especially the one at the bodycap.
