My son wanted an Angry Bird themed party for his fourth birthday. No Angry Bird's party would be complete without this super easy Angry Bird "Pig" Pinata.

I used red & yellow pails to represent the red & yellow angry birds for the kids to put their pinata candy in.You can also decorate the pails with Angry Birds stickers. After a couple hits from the kids, some of the crepe paper started to come off. This was no big deal. It added to the fun & remember, these are four year old were talking about. You can also see baby bro dressed for the occasion in his Green Pig get-up. :)

Materials:

1 Round Baseball or Soccer Ball pinata

Light Green Crepe Paper

Pig Template (courtesy of the partyanimalblog)

Glue

Scissors

3 small pieces of cardboard (for ears & crown)

Pinata Stick

2lb of candy

Add the candy to the pinata before you start to cover in crepe paper. Cut the green crepe paper into long strips. Place dot of glue on the end of one of the strips. Starting from the bottom of the pinata, glue strip on pinata and work your way around in a circular motion. Repeat until entire pinata is covered in green crepe paper. Next, cut out eyes, eyebrows, snout, ears & crown from template. Glue eyes, snout & eyebrows onto pinata. Place ears & crown template onto cardboard and cut around it. Next, glue ears & crown onto pieces of cardboard. Last, using a paring knife, cut a small slit for the ears and crown and gently place into pinata.I used a paper clip to help keep the crown up.

Enjoy!
